Christmas activities: Kids making wrapping paper

Children love to make things!  I teach a small preschool group.  We used some Christmas stamps/stencils (the kind you dip in paint, then onto the paper) to make our own wrapping paper.  The kids loved it.  I was so impressed how careful they were to add a variety of colors, take turns, and keep most of the paint on the paper.  We used several colors of paint.  The children did such a good job.  It’s a fun, creative way to spend the afternoon.  It’s cost effective and environmentally friendly too.  The children are so excited to wrap presents in their own creative paper this year.

Supplies:  Roll of butcher paper or paper sacks cut to desired length, paint (washable preferred), Christmas themed stamps, paper plates for paint, large area for painting, and wipes/paper towels for quick clean ups.

Happy painting!!
